The Coinbase layoffs send shockwaves among the cryptocurrency space, more so with the employees who have received the news together with the rest of the world. Moreover, the renewed enthusiasm in enterprise digitalization brought by the pandemic has some employees questioning their job stability.
On the other hand, it has triggered a new buzzword: upskilling. Upskilling is becoming a strategic response for businesses and organizations in order to be more resilient. Amid tightening budgets, it makes entrepreneurial sense to invest money on upskilling employees as opposed to spending more money on hiring to find the right ones.
But for startups and small to medium-sized businesses, upskilling is also a strategic response to innovation.
F(DEV) is kicking off this year’s hackathon with a learning session called “Working Backwards.” Happening on July 21, 2022 from 10AM to 12PM, this two-hour event is powered by F(DEV)’s Filinvent.io program in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The kickoff consists of two sessions, focusing on the importance of Customer Centricity, and how Amazon’s ways of working can help drive customer-centric innovation and enable anyone, and everyone, in the business to innovate on behalf of customers.
